Jo Lawrence’s practice combines film making, animation and 3D figures. Her doll/puppet-like artefacts are assembled from found objects such as brooms, scrubbing brushes, a garden rake, knitting needles, and piano keys. She combines these with other handcrafted components and silk-screened fabrics that incorporate photographic elements. In 2008, Lawrence completed a New Media Residency at the Victoria & Albert Museum where she was Animator in Residence.
