Plastic buckets, broom handles, broken and abandoned tables, shelf brackets, cardboard boxes crammed with files and paperwork – these very prosaic, everyday things are the source for Joby Williamson’s artworks and installations. “One of the main threads running through my work is an investigation into traces of the previous lives of objects, an archaeological study of today’s artefacts”.
