Daniele Genadry

Daniele Genadry is interested in how we see and remember landscapes and places. She became fascinated with making multiple sequences of images and how they are subtly altered as you repeat them: “The process itself forced me to essential-ize the image, finding specific shapes or forms that I would isolate out and work on; thus creating another image that originated from the one I had first printed, but would stand on its own.“ This breaking down and reconstructing has a corollary to psychological and emotional responses to places in our past.
