History
The gallery started life as WALL in a converted shop off Highbury Fields in 2008.
Over an eighteen month period WALL curated a series of shows of UK contemporary artists, with regular artists' talks. The artists exhibited include Anne Cattrell, Suki Chan, Tim Davies, Charlotte Hodes, Sophie Lascelles, littlewhitehead, Oona Grimes and Kate Scrivener.
In the summer of 2009 WALL held a guerilla art event curated by Edward Fornieles and Joby Williamson.
In December 2009 WALL became TINTYPE and started to represent artists.
The gallery moved to Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, East London in Spring 2010.
The directors are Teresa Grimes and Pat Treasure.
